Jordi Rosés (1953, Mollet del Vallès, Catalonia) studied textile design at the Escola Massana (Barcelona), and then undertook studies of engraving at the Escola d'arts del llibre (Barcelona), and lithography and engraving at the Scuola Internazionale della Grafica (Venice). His artistic career has been dedicated to a great extent to teaching printing techniques and the dissemination of the printing method as a valuable means of artistic expression. In 1984 he founded the Escola d'Estiu Internacional de Gravat (Arenys de Mar and Calella), and in 1985 became director of the Centre Internacional de Recerca Gràfica. In 1991 he founded, together with Pilar Lloret, the printing workshop Murta Edicions in Arenys de Murt. Rosès has been object of numerous individual exhibitions in several places around Catalonia, as well as in Geneva and Lyon.
