Arnau Alemany
Renowned artist Arnau Alemany (Barcelona, 1948) has exhibited his singular pictorial work in prestigious galleries in Madrid, Valencia, Paris, Lyon, San Francisco, New York and Chicago, among other cities. Alemany creates urban landscapes that are imaginary and desolate, enveloped in a halo of mystery. Beneath low skies and a filter of half-cloudy afternoons buildings rise up, and objects situated in disconcerting settings. The scenes are like stage settings, where the lighting reinforces the sensation of unreality and creates an atmosphere that brings to mind the hallucinations of Piranesi or the metaphysical painting of Giorgio de Chirico.
He has participated in Feria Internacional de Arte de Lille, France, April 2008.
